Default PLEASE HELP!

Hello guys, i'm brining this up bcoz i couldnt find any solutions for my problem yet. I have a big problem with my car, i'll briefly explain it.

The car is 2001 S2000 with modified exhaust system with manifold.

This doesnt happen when i drive for the first 30 minutes, after 30 miuntes, my s2k looses half of the power. It gets harder to drive, the vtec gives less power, specially between 1500-5000 rpm, there's no power at all. When i change gear and i press the gas pedal it doesnt response. Sometimes when i go in low rpm such as 2500-3000 i press the pedal to accelerate, nothing happens just sounds weird like the engine is trying but can't accelerate, then suddenly it accelerates.
What's going on with my car?! i use the best petrol, the car's at 24K miles, everythings standard on the engine, standard injectors, air filter, sparks etc...

What might be the reason for this? What can i do?
I'd appreciate any help, please help me!

I'm no expert, but it sounds like a clogged fuel filter.

This sounds like your clutch is slipping.

Yea, definitely not an expert but it would make sense that the clutch is slipping if the car isnt going anywhere. Are the rpms going up or are they having trouble getting up also? Are you having any problems in vtec? I was hvaing trouble through vtec becuase of a spark plug misfire.

But Dan, wouldn't a slipping clutch make the engine rev like a mo-fo? NorthCyprus has not indicated that is happening...just that the car isn't moving. North...???...is the car reving up although not moving under such circumstances?

If you have not already done so...as Gink5 mentioned...check your plugs. First, check them to see that they are seated well (might be one or more are loose). Next, actually go in the other direction and remove each one to inspect their condition, gap, burn indications, ceramic integrity, etc.

BTW, one real good suggestion would be to visit your Honda service center. Get a tech (preferably one that knows what the hell he's doing) to tap your computer while you both go for a drive. My service center has a nice laptop jimmy that allows the tech to set a base-line and then, while the car exhibits the symptoms, the laptop records nearly 50 or so individual electronic, fuel, etc. stats. The software can indicate anything that is out of spec, where its occurring, etc. Now...when I've had to run stuff down on The Bruised Banana on occasion, its taken my tech and I a few runs to isolate the issue. But in two different occasions over the 92K miles that I now have on my S2000, the tech has found a defective fuel injector as well as a defective fuel pump. I strongly recommend it. But again, you have to have a well-qualified Honda tech (I'm lucky with mine ).

The car is very normal for the first 30 mins, the vtec also is very normal, BUT after i drive the car for a while it get's hard to drive;
-i have to press the gas pedal more to get the car going,
-i have trouble in low rpm, i try to accelerate and i can't, it kind of gets locked in some rpm for a while like 3-4 seconds, then it accelerates.
-in the high rpm, like between 5000-6200 and after vtec enters 6200-9000 i have less power than i normally should be.
It's driving me crazy i would appreciate any help to sovle this shit problem!

Try some fuel injector cleaner like Techron, check the plugs, and air filter. I'd suggest having Honda look at too, as stated previously. I'd think if the clutch was slipping, you'd still be able accelerate in whatever gear you are able to get the car in, once in gear. Could be a blown valve or something since it happens when it's hot

This is indeed very baffling and I'm going to reserve judgement for the time being. For now, please check the standard items - air filter, oil level, fuel pressure, spark plug condition. Does it show a Check Engine Light? Any odd accompanying noises? Any other warning lights on the dash?

Oh, just a wild guess ................... Your ebrake wouldn't be ON, would it?

Wouldn't hurt to do the "MAP whack" and ECU reset. Report back and tell us these did anything.
