Default please help

on the way home tonite, i was feeling pretty good. until i pushed my to 8k rpm. i have a MY00 with 27k miles, haven't done the maintance yet. But i have done fluid change in tranny and diff. Oil changed every 3000 miles. Here is my question, when i pushed my car hard tonite.. it ran fine up until 7200 ~8000... it felt like it missed fire or loss of power. my mod is aem cold air, and the removal of resonator. any advice will be appreciated.

Sounds like you hit your cold engine limiter. It needs to warm up to 3 bars before you vtec.

The oil would have to be down by 2 or more quarts to decrease the oil pressure enough to prevent VTEC from engaging.
