Does the interior release button work when the remote doesn't?

If not, look at the connecter in the trunk. Somehow they work themselves loose...yes I know they are SUPPOSED to be locking connectors.

I have trouble with mine every once or twice a year for some reason...in fact, when I start having trouble, I think to myself, "hmmm, it must be another year of ownership."

It's like clockwork for me...the "locking tab" clicks each and every time I push the connectors together.

I'm going to try that. The interior release button worked once when the remote did not. However, both stopped working after that.

Thanks for the advice.

Here's a dumb suggestion.

My trunk sometimes fails to open. What's happening is that the seals on the trunk are sticking and not allowing it to "pop up", so when the solenoid shuts off, it re-latches. I can definitely hear the "thud" of the solenoid operating.

It sometimes takes two tries to get it to open. I guess it's time to put some more shin-etsu grease on the rubber seals.
