Default Pop Quiz!

Anybody know offhand what size the bolt is that holds the flange to the differential where it meets the driveshaft? Should be something between 24mm and 32mm (I think), just wanted to make sure I picked up the right socket. Thanks in advance!

Its not a bolt.
Its a nut.
A locking nut.
And its 26mm hex (so I guess you need a 26mm or 27mm socket)
I don't remember what I used.
Probably 27mm, kind of a standard size.
If possible get the 6 sided one, not the 12 sided.
(If you know what I mean)

To do it properly you'll need the tool #1 as well.
And a new crush sleeve.
You also need to torque that nut down is small steps and measure the pre-load on the 2 pinion bearings without the Torsen unit in place.
For that and the new sleeve you need to take the diff apart.
While doing that.. replace the pinion seal.
(this is turning into a diff rebuild post )

So.. swapping a MY04 diff fange for a MY00 (or vice versa) is not that easy.
If you want to do things by the book.
Book = Honda Service Manual.

Succes.
