Today, when I got in my car and started it up, it was idling fine when my knee bumped the key. I heard a loud pop and then the engine stuttered and the lights on the tach kinda dimmed for a minute, then it went back to normal. Didnt die, and this is the first time it has happened. Did it have something to do with my knee bumping the key while it was in the ignition?

 

I've done that. Hit the key with my knee and momentarily turned the ignition off. The keychain I had would bind up just right and act as a lever. Think you are ok.
