Default powder coating wheels

Hey, sorry for putting this in under the hood, I posted in the wheel tire forum and no one responded.

I just bought a used set of 3 pc racing hart C2s. I want to get them powder coated and leave the lip polished. Is it ok to powder coat 3ps wheels? will the heat make anything expand or warp. This is probably a dumb question but I wanted to make sure. I dont want to mess them up. I would like to be able to have it done without taking the rims apart. Thx

James

If it is 3 piece wheel and you want to powder coat it, I would advise you to pull it apart and powder coat the middle section. Or if you do not want to pull it apart then spray it instead.

I agree. I has my 3-Piece Enkei RS-Evolution wheels painted to match my car color on my 95 Eagle Talon TSI-AWD. The shop recommended what [tothemaxx] suggested. They actually ordered a replacement set of rubber seals in between the 2 pieces that split the wheel in half. Make sure they torque all the bolts when putting the wheels back together or they end up being hard to balance.

Good luck..
