Default power gutters

My car has started to collect water inside the front roof frame rails (the metal part of the frame that is hinged and mounts the side weather strips). It gathers on the front rails which slope downwards slightly so when I first take off i get water spirting from both sides on my seats (very embarrassing as I mop up). The weatherstrips all seem in good shape so I'm baffled how the water is getting in. As it happens on both sides and the rear rails are dry it must be at the front where it joins the front rail. The weather strip could chanel water down into the rail.

Before I go any further has anyone experienced this?

thanks

They aren't always as they "seem". Have you been looking after them? Do you regularly treat them with silicone grease? What year of car do you have? Do you have the heavy duty top strikers? These will pull the top down more and make a better seal.

It's an 02 and no i haven't shitsu'd the rubbers yet but even if i did it looks like the water must be coming from the front where they are clamped between the screen and the material so they are only chanelling water. The strikers might be the answer, thanks xviper.

Those channels should be directing water down the outside of the seal. Perhaps with the rubber being "dry", those channels don't work as they should.
