dude there is no power steering fluid in this car, I would run from that dealership... FAST!
because clearly we know that both of those accidents were his fault, right? don't be a dick
This is strange... my EPS light comes on usually when its pretty darn hot out. It doesn't turn on all of the time. Sometimes it'll turn on and I'll shut the car off and start it up agian, the light goes away. When the light comes on, I have no PS.
How do we reset the EPS? Is it only by shorting the OBDII pins?

yeah i have had this happen off and on for about a year, replaced all 4 tires, oem s-o2's, four wheel alignment, but found the same symptoms happening: too easy to the left, too jerky to the right. but now i'm feeling like it is an unsafe feeling on like exit ramps, like it's going to spin out. i know the feel of the car when it ran fine, and it is a very uncomfortable feeling now. called several dealers none knew what i was talking about. especially when it came to centering the eps. no eps light has ever come on. you can turn the wheel when moving (i always thought it was too much for the motor to steer while stationary...like old power steering) and there is no rhyme or reason to it, it will jerk and then be fine. i really don't trust the dealers at all, i had a valve adjustment at classic honda, and they were like, we don't see many of these anymore...going to try fourniers, they have an s2000 specialist there. is anyone having solutions with this issue? thanks. wonder how much it'll wind up costing....
I had similar symptoms and it was the connector plug onto the steering rack which caused it. Changed the plug and it's been fine for 2 years.
If you run the car, open the bonnet (hood in the US!) and wiggle the torque sensor (on the column) and the sensor on the rack, and see if it triggers the EPS.

i will find out on tuesday. the new steering rack comes in monday to the shop where the car is. fourniers in orlando. they determined that it was low voltage coming from the rack, which i was surprised to discover is an electric part. also, honda has changed the part number, to update improvements to the rack, which the shop prefers. so we shall see. everyone seems to be unsure of the root cause of the steering issues, and it may be a host of different causes. but they seem pretty confident that this is the problem. i'll let you know!
