Probably a dumb question about NOS and S\C's (plz read)
Okay, from what i've been gathering from my history with cars, my readings on the board, and my butt dyno, this sounds about right:
superchargers = high end torque and horsepower
NOS = low AND high end torque and horsepower
Okay, to the point. So many people are looking for ways to get better, faster, stronger 0-60 and 14 times. (on a personal note, I dont really care, not what the car is meant for anyways.)
Why not have, say, a 50 shot of NOS available for first gear only, on only until about 5-6k in first gear, than let the SC take care of the rest of the run? That way you'd get a better launch without shitcanning an expensive engine. Has this already been dreamed up or tried?

you can't use NOS in low rpm (refering to where you say low end tq)
SC are known for quick throttle response (vs turbo) and power inscrease everywhere in the powerband (also vs turbo because at low rpm, the turbine is not spinning fast enough to give boost). in high rpm a SC will still give boost, but a turbo is more suitable and offers greater possibilities.
so it's mostly about what you really want to do with your car.

What you're referring to is the same philosophy that caused the creation of the twin turbo. A smaller turbo that spools up very quickly handling low end power, then a larger turbo handling high end power. This is typically a very complicated set up and not practical thing to implement on most cars.
I'm not sure of the feasibility of the nitrous and supercharger providing the same "two stage" power delivery. I've heard of combining nitrous with a FI power adder (ex. turbo or supercharger), but I've never heard of anyone trying to take the "two stage" low / high RPM approach with them. But the concept of the two stage power delivery you are referring to has been done.

You can definetly use Nitrous at the low end without a problem.
As long as the engine can rev freely and your not bogging you can spray. So say after 3500 rpm you can safely spray with the s2000.......I have a 75 shot and the problem is ya lose wheel traction if ya spray in first at any point on the rpm band. Probably would lose traction with a 50 shot also. Maybe a 35 shot would be good if ya wanted to spray in first. It can be a fuel setting nightmare to combine F/I with nitrous. It is very hard to get the perfect fuel mixture so both the Nitrous and the F/I work well together. F/I or nitrous puts strain on a non built engine.....BOth is a little risky unless your a dyno/tuner brain and have access to the equip ya need to do extensive tuning.

i think that someone should make a setup that has a roots type blower and a centrifugal supercharger
they can put a cluch on the roots blower to prevent it from over revving
double the parasitic loss, but all kinds of useable power.
