If you screw the O2 sensor in before bolting on the header it will work. It will just be snug against the wall. I just helped 02SebringSilverS2k install the megan header on his AP2. Worked just fine.
Now that I think about it. His was only an AP1 afterall. Sorry for the misinformation.

3 weeks i'll have my Meghan header back (been waiting since I sent it back around new years) bringing this thread back from the dead haha. I really can't believe how many of us have had this problem with megan's race header.

i installed mine like almost a year ago and no problems with it. i have an AP2. the testpipe megan also didnt have any problem with the o2 sensor. maybe it was a manufacturer defect.

The main prob Ive noticed is that some knockoff parts are being used under the Megan Racing name. I bought an ebay header made in China and it is exactly like the Megan header, which is designed like the oem header but with bigger primaries, and it had the same prob! I banged the heat shield back and cut off a piece but still not enough room. I emailed the ebay seller and he sent me another one without any fuss. I didnt even send him the one I had. The next one DID have the bung set to the side like oem. Fit good. Im sure he knew of the prob but he is just trying to get them out of his warehouse.

All this for $70 USD!

So double check its a REAL Megan header.

Hope this helps.

Sorry I can't help in the issue your having, but..

Since you have the header out, would it be possible for you to provide us the weight?
