Project S2000/S2k.. Rebuild or Replace?
The AP1 retainers are proven sensitive to a mis-shift (but otherwise fine) and S2000 owners have reliability problems with their shifting techniques, but the simple fix is to use AP2 retainers and shift in to 4th with your palm facing the passenger side.
Will soon post pictures of the build thread. Nothing special with the build, just a lower mileage ap2 full swap. Hopefully including key, ignition, ecu, longblock, and tranny. Still shopping around for my best option in terms of price and what i'm actually getting. Car is currently out at trackforged and the motor has been pulled. Monday-Tuesday of next week it will be taken to the body/paint shop, hopefully by the time it is completely done with body and paint I will have found a swap. Keeping my out of for a set of Volks or RPF1's as well. Will keep pics updated, thanks again guys! Hopefully soon i will be enjoying a DD!
