I ordered two new bolts (number 4) and re-tightened the other 4 old ones.

Are there supposed to be nuts holding the bolts in cause I didn't see them in this diagram.

I'll take her for another spin today after the loctite dries (too late Billman ) and see if only the old ones are coming lose compared to the new ones.

If you are referring to the #2 washers in the post above yes.

No surprise here. Honda wants new bolts for this application like they seem to usually require. Probably due to bolt stretch. Different size bolts for the AP1 and AP2 engines and different torque requirements as well. The shop manual is your friend.

Torque specs are normally with "dry" bolts unless Locktite or antiseize is specified.

New bolts, no lock tight, exact manual torque spec on clean threads. If they come loose again, new driveshaft. When the joints fail they create vibration and the bolts back out.

Might be right Paddy, I noticed alot of vibration when letting out the clutch while easing into the gas pedal when in first gear. But I feel the vibration towards the front of the prop shaft and not the rear though???

Yah you can damage the front or rear joint in the shaft. Unlikely both will fail simultaneously. Might have been damaged during the clutch job. Dropped on the end or something like that. Who cares, just change it.

Depending on your interest and motivation, you can remove the driveshaft and disassemble it at both ends to inspect and repack the joints just like an axle. Careful though as you can't buy those boots anymore.

I've lost 2 of them like that in the race car. First sign of trouble is the bolts back out. Same thing can happen to wheel bearings. They start to get hot and the axle nut loosens a tiny bit all of a sudden.
