The parts list is nice but this whole thing is setting you up for a massive headache. Any turbo S is going to be somewhat of a headache, especially one that has sat under a tree for years.

Here's my honest opinion that is going to sound harsh. There is a chance that this could be a good deal for the right person in the low teens. If you are on here asking if it is a good deal, you do not have the experience and knowledge to get wrapped up in this project. The parts list is solid and maybe it was built decently years ago. However, it has sat outside and is in the middle of a turbo swap, hasn't been run in a while seemingly, and needs to have issues sorted out. It is a bad idea.

I think this is probably a bad idea either way but the parts list is "quality." It appears to be a show car where the drivetrain never really mattered much as long as it was flashy and sounded good on paper. Good chance the whole thing was never really well sorted. It also has no chance of being a show car anymore for many many reasons, least being that it has sat under a tree for years. There's no chance it's a good purchase unless you have the knowledge to diagnose the health of the engine and the money and know-how to sort everything out. If you did, you wouldn't be on here posting. Harsh, but that is reality.

Do not buy it if you want to have a driving car anytime soon or a reliable car ever.

Is it a real Amuse kit?

The sum of its parts may total to more than $15K.

A slow NA S2000 is faster than a broken turbo one. But...its your choice how you want to go, engine wise.

Its all fixable with time, patience, and knowledge. And money.

As said above, its a bad idea for anyone. That's why the price is what it is. Some people are capable of bringing this thing into working shape. You're going to have a $15K paperweight (not a car) for a few years. You can learn along the way, but it will take a huge effort.

Are you looking for a project? Or a car to drive?

I absolutely guarantee this will be a massive headache unless you just want to part it out. Assume it needs an engine. I've spent the past two years sorting out a clean S2000 that was garaged its whole life, bone stock, and doesn't have a spec of rust. And I'm still not done. To be fair, my standards are pretty high, but there is probably 20x more work to be done on that...car.

Did you even look at the interior or undercarriage? How rusty is it? Sitting outside is bad for everything.

$15k is way too much. If someone else will pay him that, let him sell it to them. $10k is in the ballpark...maybe. But I still wouldn't touch it for any amount of money.

I would be weary of a car with an open intake system and no filter, sitting under a tree for a few years ? Nothing I hate more than seeing cars without filters. Sounds like someone else's problem may become yours.

But I would like to see you save the poor car which is obviously neglected , take in the stray and nurse it back to health. This car needs to be saved. I can't comment on cost as I have no idea what it is worth. If those are real Rays rims that is a nice upgrade and worth a few bucks.

The only mod that would make me change my mind is if crisp 100 dollar bills totaling $15k or more were in the trunk. You clearly haven’t convinced anyone this is a good idea. If you’re looking for confirmation to put $15k on fire, get er done.

I just bought a turbo s2000 earlier this year, and there are a lot of little niggling issues I've been dealing with and fixing, and a ton more I have to fix. And mine was a running driving car that just didnt get driven that much anymore, but still got driven a thousand or so miles a year.

Be prepared to spend a lot of your time chasing down other peoples work and fixing it unless you got one of the rare ones that was built right from the start. Usually people that are meticulous about their vehicles dont leave them sitting under trees with a missing turbo or melted wires...

That might be the biggest problem with this car, maybe even bigger than sitting under a tree. This car was built to look cool at a car show, not to be driven. When it was driven, it melted wiring and blew the turbo (?) Who knows what else was done wrong when it was new.

Throwing a bunch of expensive parts at a car does not necessarily make a good car.

I'm betting that parts list is a bunch of BS. Wheels alone are $3500, this car had a ton of money put into it if the parts list is accurate and I can't imagine someone just let it sit, especially sit outside for years. The sitting outside might change things a bit but that looks like a car with way more than 45k on the body, 15k on the engine.

If the wheels are 3500, and all the parts that you can see that he mentioned are there, wouldn’t that convince you that the engine parts list is legit? Like the block even says “benson” on it.
everything on the list that you can see is there.

yea your right. Expensive parts doesn’t equal good car.
the wiring was right under the turbo manifold. It got hot and melted them a bit. But they still work. He just bought a new wiring harness and said he’s recommend to replace it since he has one.
