Remove the sway bar end link, push down on control arm assembly, install lower bolt.

Yea you can't have the swaybar connected and try to put the stock shocks back on. If your unable to push it down enough by just standing on the studs then but a breaker bar or a jack handle into the lower control arm and pry it down.

It takes two people it install the rear shocks. I've done it alone a couple time but it turns a 15 min job into hour job. I can have my shocks off and both rears back in, bolted up, and the rear wheels back on within 20 mins from the time I get the car on jack stands.

The fronts takes a bit longer. Me and my dad working together got all 4 stock shocks installed for the winter in a hour and 35 mins.

Wait that's a front! Sorry!

Glad you got it! On the front I undo the upper control arm and undo the sway bar endlink and it fits right in. The rear is were you will have issues.

Getting the shock in. Kind of like how you had a issue getting the shock back in place on the front. On the rear I've always had to use a breaker bar or jack handle in the lower a-arm to pry it down to get the shock back in place.

I just used my knee for the front and my left hand for the rear, once the top hats are barely poking through, tighten the nuts enough for it to hang, then you can use both hands to lower the control arm enough to align the rest of the strut.

did you put the right ones on the right side of the car? They are labeled left and right. This has been a week long process? I change shocks in under two hours and you spend a week on it? haha
