Am I that bad?
This is a little off topic but I figure everyone in this forum plays with their suspension the most. I've changed plenty of shocks out in all my previous cars and coilover changes, etc. I was replacing the coilovers that came on this car with the stock suspension. I went through the front in about 30 minutes no hitches. I went to the back and choose not to take the filler off and had no problems getting to the top shock bolts. I had trouble pulling the coilover out and ended up removing the endlink to get a little more play. Then I went to put in the stock assembly and struggled with it for hours till I finally got my whole weight on a 4 foot jack bar and slipped it over the control arm. Then I struggled to get the shock bolt through the control arm for another hour. I have it started on one side but wasted another hour trying to get it through to the thread side. I gave up for the day, I was thoroughly cold and have class here pretty soon. Should it be this much of a PITA or am I doing something wrong? Does anyone have any words of wisdom?
Nice I could see that working for sure I had a few pry bars out and my jack handle just couldn't make it happen. I could see that working, not sure if I want to go buy one. Next time I will though. I just couldn't get the leverage I needed. I might just buy my buddy some beers to help me out though. Thanks man.
