Quacker State oil?
Actually 5W20 is being made by Valvoline, QS, Pennzoil, and Castrol. It is used in almost all of the new hondas that are ULEV certified. You should not use 5W20 oil in the S2000 under all circumstances. It will not provide the protection that is required at high rpms(7000+rpms) combined with the high operating temps. It is fine for Civic, Accord, TL, CL etc etc....but not for the S2k

I'm originally from Oil City, Pa. The big three (at the time) all had offices and refineries there -- Quaker State, Wolf's Head, and Penzoil. Maybe that's why I've always used Castrol for convential oil!
Mobil 1 for the S2000 (after 8k).
I've heard QS stories as well, that they had some refinery issues and did put out some bad stuff once. A lot of folks around Michigan like Valvoline... I suspect some Indy500 influence. An extremely competent mechanic and shop owner got me into using Castrol some 30 yrs or so ago, and I've been happy with it. But I tend to believe that most all of it is pretty good, no matter who makes it.
Personally, I'd follow Honda's recommendation and use 10w30... and find a Honda dealership that follows it's own mfg advice (i.e., find another one).
