Default Question, Which is the best Air Filter?

I only want an air filter. Id like to keep it stock for as long as possible, don't hate me for that. One day its going to be among the most hopped up s2ks, but thats beside the point. I want to know what is the best air filter for my car or if its just a matter of preference. I hear injen is good but, I want to keep the stock air box, be ther is no real need for me to take it out. I hear the spoon air filter is great but what are the specs?

I don't think Injen makes an air filter, just a CAI. If you are wanting to replace the filter in the stock air box, just get a K&N or JR filter.

I didnt think this thread would make it bc they dont want posts on purchasing recomendations. Do you know of any one with a spoon air filter or uses the coastal metals CAI? I went to the Nopi Nationals last weekend in SA and K&N was there selling products, I could have gotten the air filter for about $50 which is not bad.

I don't know anyone with the Spoon product, and I don't think Coastal Metals makes a CAI. I think Coastal Medals just makes the screens for the brake ducts.

Before installing the SuperCharger I was using the JR filter I bought from Mingster.

The benfit in an aftermarket air filter isn't going to be power but cost. The reusable filters will save you mucho bucks over the life of the car. I believe the Honda air filter is a $35-40 part. This part is replaced at 15,000mile intervals. The money will add up quickly. That is to say, the savings will add up quickly with the aftermarket part.

I went with the Costal Metals CAI and I like it because it feeds fresh air from the fenderwell into the stock airbox (not a fan of K&N Filters). I also modified the inside of the box and added the Costal Metals air director plate all for around $50 and an hour or so to install. I am currently just using the stock air filter and still it sounds throatier between 3.5-5500 RPM. I plan to upgrade the filter when the time comes (1100 miles on her now). Pt

Surely there must be some other benefit in choosing a better air filter ....economy, power? Some people here are changing them for no real reason otherwise.

K&N Filter..cause it will last you "forever" if you clean it regularly with a clenaing kit...

Those silver blitz air filters are supposedly best of its kind as well...
