Default Question to the more experienced S2K owners...

I had my seats stolen about 2 months ago and I finally got some money to replace them.

I was wondering if anyone knew if I can buy aftermarket seat rails and racing seats and then just buy the OEM seatbelt and attach it to the rails? Or do I have to buy the OEM seat rails to be able to fit the seatbelts? Please let me know, I really don't want to add a rollcage or harness bar but neither do I want to go out and buy some stolen seats just to get a quick fix. Thanks in advance for your help.

As far as the seats and rails go, i know buddyclub has rails so you can run a factory seatbelt. I was using the buddyclub rail with a Sparco Rev Plus seat with factory belts. Currently i'm using a custom rail with sparco rev and stock belts. The reason I swtiched rails was because I wanted a lower seating position. BTW I'm also using a Rollbar.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I think I will go ahead and order some buddyclub rails and some OEM seatbelts... I'll probably end up fitting some Sparco Roadsters on them... by the way, did you get any locks for your new seats? So they don't steal them. I'd be interested in knowing how to prevent theft again...

on the seat belt buckels you might have to snap on the ends of it or you will have to drill a hole on the seat rail.

check this thread out.

Yeah I did notice that. I think it can fit without doing any alterations but the belt buckle would be in one of two possible fixed positions: slightly pointing towards the front or slightly pointing towards the back. I just bought some Taitec Seat Rails along with some Sparco Seats... I'll post up some pics later when I get my seats if anyone wants to see what it looks like installed.
