Default Question regarding half shaft spacers

So, I'm only lowered 0.5" and was curious if half shaft spacers are necessary. It seems like a good idea, but just wanted to get others' opinions. I am getting some noise from the rear of the car when I go up and down driveways or very uneven surfaces. Not sure if this is caused from being lowered without the shaft spacers, or because I have yet to tighten down the axle spindle nuts to the changed 220 ft/lbs torque from 180 ft/lbs. I do plan on tightening down this week, but afterwards is it necessary to purchase the half shaft spacers?

Here's a thread to a group buy of the spacers. I JUST learned about these and kind of frightened me at first.

I appreciate any input.

I believe MotorKlasse has some that are not quite as wide as most others. They are made for conservative drops and won't hurt anything at stock height.

Yeah the link I posted are for the MotorKlasse spacers. I just wanted to know if it truly is NEEDED. If I cannot safely get by without them then I will get them.

Honestly I don't think it would affect you that much since you are only dropped .5. Im dropped 2 inches so its required for me. I would get it anyways since it will be insurance for you. The one that MotorKlasses offers will work on a stock car too, because its not as big as J's. So just get it and maybe one day you'll decide to drop the car more and you will be set.
