Question For Those With Coilovers
I am thinking about getting a set of Koni adjustable springs and GC coilovers. From what I have read, it sounds like coilovers require a lot to install and adjust. Is something that needs to be done often ie. everytime you change the height, do you have to adjust the other dimenstions and re-align? Kind of sounds like a big pain in the....... for someone that is not going to track the car. I go on aggressive drives, but that is about it. Any help is appreciated.
Ground control with Koni might make a lots of noise. Try Tein or Buddy Club.......I think they're a really nice system. If you re-adjust your ride height......you do need to re-align your car. If you don't track your car you got nothing to worry about.
I think pfb has the adjustable Konis with the GC perches, and likes them. They shouldn't be that difficult to install. It should take 2-3 hours by yourself.
You will just need to install them, adjust the height to where you want them, drive it for a week to let them settle, then get it aligned. If you're not tracking it, then you won't need to worry about corner weighting and tweaking. Just make sure that the left and right sides have the same number of exposed threads below the perches. Don't assume that your garage or driveway is level, so don't try to adjust the perches to make the gaps equal all the way around.
