Quick oil weight ?
I've ran mobil 1 10w 30 synthetic since i got the car a year ago and it seems to burn very easily in my car.
I'm making the switch to Brad penn partial synthetic oil and dont know which weight to use.
Being N/A and living in ohio (sub 0 degree temps and highs of 90s in the summer), which weight should i use?
0W-30
SAE 10W-30
SAE 10W-40
Does partial synth thin out less easily than full synth?
I'm guessing either 0w-30 or 10w-30, but if partial gets thinner easier, would 10w40 be a better choice?
thanks guys. i know this has been covered a million times, but i have been reading pages and have not found a direct answer.
please no flames telling me to do research!

in winter months you can run 0w-30, it will work really well for you, then in summer months go back to 10w-30.
Alternatively you can run 5w-40 all year long, which is an acceptable viscosity recommended by Honda for cold temps and hot temps.
I'd recommend a full synthetic, it will work best in winter and span the hot and cold temp range best, if no full synthetic is available in your preferred brand then at least a partial synthetic.

Redline still has lots of additives in their oil, hence no starburst symbol on their bottles. Amsoil has been moving some of their oils to low SAP formulas to comply with emmissions related ratings, but Amsoil's long drain oils are still carrying good additive packages in them for the time being.
