Default Quick Valve question!

I got my new valves, and ive been planning to lap them, but i've seen a few places where it says not to lap them.

so do i or not??

and taking it somewhere is not an option.

thanks

Since you're replacing the valves, I assume you had the valve seats ground?

If you have the valve seats cut you wont need to lap.

Some of the aftermarket valves have anti wear coatings that can be removed by lapping which is why they advise not to lap.

You absolutely want to get the valve seats cut if you are installing new valves. Find someone with a Serdi or similar machine.
