Default Race Gas on F20?

I heard another F20C owner say tonight he runs race gas every once in a while, Pros cons- Waist of money. I believe he was talking about 100 oct.

Would 100 Octane help me if more than an exhaust and a tune??

Leaded fuel destroys the 02 sensors and Catalytic convertor. It's a waste of $$ on a stock car. Even when using a AEM EMS don't expect a massive WHP difference.

on the stock ecu, it wont make any difference. our ecus wont adjust timing for octane any higher than 93. maybe on a FI setup using EMS you might see some gains just from race gas.

As long as its not leaded it should not matter as far as the O2 and Cat right? being that our cats arent ceramic, "exotic" fuels should not harm it no?

plenty of 100 octane gases are unleaded. I can get unleaded 100 octane from a BP in town.

While the S2000 may not advance timing due to the increased octane, it will certainly help prevent detonation and will keep the ecu from yanking timing excessively

don't bother, i already went there. mixed up about 96 octane and compared to 91, the 91 has more timing....

About 4-1/2 years ago we tried 100 octane on the dyno with reseting the ECU. Picked up 16 horsepower. It's a waste of money if you don't reset the ECU.
