I've got a shop manual but it says nothing about how you access the tricky areas of the job, it just shows the cooling system parts in far greater detail than you can see within your engine bay.

If you're lucky those clips are mounted in a way you can get pliers on them and have enough room open them.
There's not much space for pliers = pliers are small = lots of force needed to open the clips and you need to slide / turn it at the same time.

Lots of fun!

A small locking pliers may come in handy so you don't have to squeeze and maneuver in a tight spot all at once.

Btw: accoding to the manual you get access to the tricky areas by opening the hood.....
