hey yall, i have just recently changed my clutch and pressure plate out cause it was slipping hardcore.. after everything was put back together car drove smooth for about two weeks. now i am getting a HARD rattling noise under the chasis. i jacked it up to see if i can find the noise, but to no avail i could not. i took the propellar shaft off and was thinking it might be it, but i do not quite know how to tell if it needs to be replaced. has anyone else had this problem before and could give me some help?

Define the noise better and under what conditions.

Is it there at all RPM?
Is it there at all MPH?
Does it sound like from one side to the other?
Do you feel the vibration? If so where?

Also you may want to go to a parking lot with a friend and let the car drive in first with the car going at idle speed, if you can hear the rattling maybe it can be safe enough for ya'll to peak your head around and see if you can get a better idea of location. Who knows maybe your cat just ate it and the chunks are making noise.

 

Replace with OEM parts?

 

check your o2 in your exhaust. mine was rattling real loud but it took me forever to find it because the wires were holding it in making it look as if it was still screwed in.

 

update: it drove alright just a hard vibrating rattle from the center of the car. as i was driving to the honda dealership to get them to run a diagnostic, whatever the rattling was from, must have broke inside where it was coming from, because the rear wheels locked and would not move. i could put it into gear but it would not move.
