re-installing a/c
I took the a/c lines & compressor out of my engine bay a while ago when I was turbo, intended to do a relocation kit but never got around to it.
Now im selling the car & need to reinstall the a/c..
I bought a new compressor, used hard lines & suction lines, new dryer, all the o-rings, nuts & bolts. The condenser was left in the engine bay & I will be re-using it.
I was going to have a local shop do it for me because he can evac the system & recharge it for me,
Should I change the expansion valve too? I thought it was a simple job but now I see you have to tear apart the inside of the car to get at it.
When I removed the lines from the firewall & put metal tape over the opening so nothing would get in there.
thanks

I did the EXACT same thing as you, and no, I didn't replace the expansion valve when reinstalling the A/C components.
Well, almost the same thing, I didn't choose to take it out, the studs that hold the compressor to the block snapped and tore off my belt too.
anyways, best of luck.
