Rear Diff failure

I can't tell you the amount of clutch dumps and drifting I do with my car. At 55k, so far so good. I have a backup incase, but I think it's the fluid that has been a factor. I've got LE607 in there.
What type of fluid/time on it/was in the dif?
LE is waiting for the first failure so they can warranty it

The car only has 36K miles on it and the lube has changed every year, so about six times. I have always done it myself so I am not sure I can find the receipts.
I have a feeling you'll get denied, for non-oem fluid
. They will find something.
I think the best thing to do is be prepared to find a dif here on the board and swap it out.
6 times in 36k miles is way more than adequate. I've put 25k hard miles on my last fill. It came out as clean as the day I put it in, and nothing on the magnet.

Somehow I don't think we are getting the entire story here.
cdelena has been on this board about as long as I have (5+ years), and I do not doubt his account of the event. The car is not force inducted and it is driven in a smooth, sporting fashion.
In my experience, warrantee approval/denial is more difficult for less mature owners, especially those that don't understand basic mechanics. Sadly, there have been numerous reports of service departments trying to buffalo unsuspecting owners. cdelena does not fit into this category.
My approach has always been to have a firm, professional presentation of the facts. If you don't get reasonable responses, try switching dealers or escalating to the service manager and then the regional rep. As a last resort, taking companies to court has been effective. Just be sure to find the receipts and document all of your service.
I hope that none of this will be necessary, and that HondaCare honors its obligations for the repair.

Huh? Thats all you ever get from me..
Cdelena is a well known member here with solid history. He shoots from the hip and never piles any BS anywhere, nor does he "hide" anything. I would question anyone else better I questioned him.

It's a $5K repair for them, so be prepared to fight.
