Default Rear wheel will not move!

I bought a salvage S today. It has been sitting for almost 2 years. When it was at the lot we used a bat booster and turned it over. The air pump in the left front is crushed and the back driver wheel will not turn. From what i can tell the brake is not locked in any way but there is a lot of rust on the disc. Also when i try to start the motor all that i get is a very rapid clicking.

Please help!

The clicking is just the starter solenoid not engaging properly because of low power. Hook it up to the battery booster again and it should at least turnover.

The rear wheel sounds like the brake. Remove the caliper and try again to be sure. Perhaps a seized wheel bearing? Otherwise I'd say it's the diff.

Sounds like a fun project. I trust you picked it up a for a song as it's been there so long.

In the first sentence, you said you "turned it over". In the next sentence you said you "get a rapid clicking". Which is it? It either "turned over" or it had the "clicking". If it turned over, then it wouldn't have clicked. If it clicked, it wouldn't have turned over.
If it turned over and didn't start, then you've got other problems. If it just clicked, then the starter is not getting enough juice.

Sounds to me like the brake on that wheel is seized. It may take the car's power to get it free. It's tough to turn a rusted wheel by hand.

When at the salvage lot it turned over.
When in my drive way it clicks.
I'm going to try the basics. New bat, plugs, fresh gas, etc.

I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the help.

It starts now. When i put it in reverse and let up on the clutch it wont move. It feels like the clutch in not catching at all.

This doesn't sound like a project I would ever consider. If the car has been sitting for years in a lot, there's no tellin' how many seals / gaskets will need to be replaced.

Its been in storage building. The only rust is on the brakes.

Heres some more info. When i put the car in 1st and let off the clutch the mph starts to climb. At idle it says it is going 8 mph. When really the car is not moving at all!

Is the car off the gound? Is the other rear wheel spinning? The speed sensors are on the rear wheels, so one of them has to be spinning.

If the rear brake pads are rusted (fused) to the rotor, then you can probably free it up by giving the caliper a good whack with a hammer.
