Default Recaro SRD on S2000

Does Recaro SRD going to fit well into a S2000? Anyone have it in the car. Also where to get the seat bracket? Thanks

Do they even make a seat bracket for the SRD in an S2000?

Since the SRD is a bottom mount seat, even if they did make a bracket, you would sit HIGHER than the stock seat. There is much more bottom padding on the SRD than on the S2000.

The SRD will be a tight fit, rubbing the door panels and limiting access to the glove box. And the seats will raise your stock sitting position. IMO the seats look too big for our car.
There is a thread in the Gallery section "official aftermarket seats" which should have plenty of answers if you have anymore questions on aftermarket seats.

I measured and it's going to be a hella tight fit,
I have a pair of jdm itr seats I will put one of 'em in my S.
Height wise it's not a big deal!! I will take a pics soon when I'm done
I have to Fab the rails to make it fit.

Fabbing rails is not a simple task. If you can fab rails, you can make the seats fit. The shoulder pads will rub the door though. And unless you are short as hell I would be very concerned about the height... Not only do you not want to get your head crushed, the side bolsters are going to be pretty close to the steering wheel so it will be a pain to get in and out of. I am 5'11" 170lbs.

PS. I had USDM SRD's out of my pickup truck (yeah I know...) I stopped half way in to the process.

a member in SD has a set in his car and they look huge in it (does not look bad, but the seats look bigger in the S than in an EG/EK/DC2, etc.) Glove box entry looked like it was definitely going to rub and the seat was hitting the door panel.

I'm about 5'10"
pretty slim, K, I put in the seat so far it's hella tight, as I mentioned earlier.
Not done yet, this is going to be a long project, but dang it looks and feels better than my red oem seat. I sat on it, for a bit I gain about around 2 inch in height so far without fabing anything yet. It's going to be a hard work for sure.

Oh yeah, the draw back on this project so far that kind of annoy me is when the Alcantara rubs on the console and the door it makes that annoying squicky sounds and that's one of my pet peeves (drives me nuts) so I might
abandon it, if I can't find a solution frown.gif

I have a Sparco Bottom mount bracket for my Pro 2000. As long as the seat bolts (holes) on the bottom of the seat are in the same location it would work for the seat. I am selling the bracket (bolt in) and I have an extra pair of sliders. Let me know.
