i bought the HF low profile aluminum jack. it's all silver, 3000lb, 3-1/4" clearance, and rapid pump. (go to your local HF, it's on sale $170 ->120)

i really love this jack, it's got a long handle so makes lifting so easy.

but i've used it like 6 times and it already is creaking when i pump..??

Yup, that's the one! The creaking doesn't seem to hurt anything.

the harbor freight aluminum jack doesnt reach the front jacking point? weak!

how about the craftsman aluminum 1.5 jack?
Nope, Craftsman does not reach. It is a great jack though and the one I use.

To get all 4 wheels up, do the left side then right side (or visa versa), putting jack stands under the frame rails....works like a charm

this adapter plate is also very nice because it fits the seam on the side of the car.

Also note that even if a floor jack has very low clearance, that's at the pad. It's also important for the frame to be low so that the entire jack can slide under the car.

I use the "large" (~$140) and "small" (~$80) Harbor Freight aluminum jacks and an old, heavy Milwaukee jack in the garage. The Milwaukee jack has the lowest frame clearance and can just slip under the front of a non-lowered S2000 without a front lip. If the car has a front lip, it will work if a couple of guys lift the front of the car slightly.

AFAIK, the AC DK13HLQ mentioned by cdelena is the only one that has a very low frame. Plus, it has a very long lifting arm.

I just purchased a craftsman high lift jack, it's a 3tons SUV jack with extra lift. It's quite heavy to be honest, but it's not any higher than normal car jack.

Honestly pay for a better brand, i broke two taiwanese cheapo jacks.

I also have the HF small aluminum jack. As somebody mentioned, it reaches the center of the engine cradle, but you can't move the handle enough to lift the car. My solution is to put a 2"x4" piece of wood under the front roller of the jack. This tilts the body of the jack enough to allow the jack handle to have enough clearance to lift the car.

Try it and see what you think.
