Why? WHY!?!

What do people see in these things? I mean, I can see if you got kids, live where it gets sub-zero or 100+, and its your don't care minivan, you can make things more comfortable before you get in the car.

But warming up your car is bad for it. Why would you want to subject your S to that? What is the point of a remote start in car you actually care about?

Not to mention you will have to bypass the clutch lockout, so if you ever forget and leave it in gear...

How is warming up your car bad for it? I would agree with you in that I know 99% of people that have remote starts will warm it up for like 20 freaking minutes or something dumb, but if you do it for maybe 2-5 minutes, couldn't it only be good for the car? You're bringing the oil temperature up slowly and at the lowest, safest RPM, right?

Sub-note: I would never install a remote start for my S though. I park it in gear and that habit will NEVER be 100% gone. So I know I would start it and hear a loud THUMPPPPPPLOIUFHOIUSfh892713482739237855 from down the hallway and know that my S2000 is now in my family room lol. And I already have the clutch interlock bypass. But the leave it in gear thing is what would kill me haha

I second that question: How is warming up your S engine bad for it?

Warming up any engine can do more damage than it does good. But this depends on your trip length, etc. Its a vehemently debated topic. Cars don't need to be warmed up.

But that's not what this thread is about. Hopefully someone can help out the OP.
