Thumbs up Removing all a/c components

I am interested in removing my a/c and all associate components (within the engine bay). I want to do this for the following reasons:

1. I don't EVER use a/c.
2. I want to shave some weight.
3. Possibly free up some parasitic loss.
4. I want to free up some space in the engine bay.

My question to you all is this: Is there a shorter belt that I can get that will eliminate the need for the a/c pulley, or do I need to use the same belt and get an idle pulley?

On an '06...already? Dayumm

Yes, there is a shorter belt.
Don't get reamed JDM pricing for one from a JDM company. I'll find the correct length, I forget what it is off the top of my head, but I'll dig it up later and post it.

I'm not playing around. I've had my S2000 for about 3 months and have wasted no time.

BTW...one of my concerns is that the belt is "driven" a certain way by "directional" factory pulleys. By removing the a/c pulley, is the direction of the belt affected at all?

I am not a mechanic, engineer, etc. so I apologize for any misnomers.
