I am not a jdm brand whore...but even if the Mugen belt was kevlar lined, which it isn't, I'd rather get one for cheaper and replace it more often. I don't think it is made of any superior material. The stock belt was good for over 100K miles which was when I replaced mine as preventative maintenance.
So, where do I find this other belt you mentioned? Google it?

Go to Kragen or a autoparts store and give them that part number. They'll cross reference it for you, or order it directly if they carry that brand.

It will take about 1 month to come in. Not too bad.

BTW...how much weight do you figure I'll shave? 15-20 lbs?

With AC out? ~25 lbs. You can take all that crap out its ~100 lbs.
Less parasitic loss though.

Well, I am going to have the AC compressor, AC condensor and all AC lines removed. Not going to touch the heater core though--I need heat!
