I'm going to be running 5mm spacers so I thought i would install the longer studs that came with the spacers.
I'm probably going to get shot for asking this but why does everyone have an aversion to grinding out a few mm of material on the knuckle? Do you think it would greatly affect the structural integrity of the piece?

yeah I wouldn't feel very comfortable running 10mms on stock lugs.
at 5mm you still have a "reasonable" amount of thread in the lug. at 10mm you'ld probably barely be able to get the lug on more than a few turns.
But with some 10mm and thicker spacers you usyally bolt the spacer to the stock studs and the spacer will come with new studs that you bolt the wheel to.
