Default Removing the starter

I haven't been under the hood too much of my s2k, so i'm a bit unfamiliar w/ the f20 (compared to my old crx days and my b16) but does anyone know how long of an affair it would be to remove the starter? I think mine went bad and i'm not sure how long to take, or its location (on my phone, not at home w/ car right now)...so i'm just trying to get a rough idea how my day is going to spent manana.

There are only 2 bolts holding the starter. But one of the bolts is a bitch to get at. You may need to pull the alternator and use a very long extension to reach it. Also, be very careful when using an extension...it will run just past the knock sensor, which is fragile...if you tap it too hard it will break and you will need to replace it.

If the car is stock, the airbox, and alternator need to come out of the way.

If you've done it before, 1-1.5 hours start to finish. (and have the tools that make it much easier)

If this is the 1st time, double that.

If you have a bare minimum of tools 4X that.

The starter bolts are difficult to reach, and the wiring connections to the starter are even more difficult.

thanx for all the help guys, i actually got it out pretty easily. The one thing i was missing was a flex/swivel joint socket. Once i picked that up it was a snap. Hardest part honestly was fishing the starter out of that tight ass space.
