Default Repaired Starter motor

Hi

Recently my car has been in the shop because of a problem very hard to diagnose (no CEL codes, maybe electrical)... See othe thread "car turns off while driving". Apart from that issue, the starter motor died while in the shop and the mechanic repaired it.

Yesterday i heard the car crank and start for the first time with the new repaired starter motor. I could notice a change in sound immediately. When the car starts now, the starter make a noise like a robotic sound for a few seconds after start. The mechanic tells me that repaired Starters do this. But I also have read in some threads to grease the starter tooth... Is this the same here? Or do I have to hear this sound from now on?...

Regards
