Default Replacement clutch problem

So i replaced my slipping clutch recently and for the 1st week or so it was great, then it started getting heavier and tighter if that makes sense. also right at the bottom it really get hard and then clicks really loud.
The strange thing is if i take the it half way past redline the clutch goes back to prefect for about 5 minutes then gradually starts clicking in the end, any ideas? Thanks

That doesn't sound good! I once fitted a cheap pull type clutch to a different type of car, and after a week the clutch release bearing failed and I had to do it all over again, was not happy! What clutch kit did you use? Did you grease the inside of the clutch release bearing? Did you grease the clutch release fork? Was the clutch release fork in good condition?

I did my clutch a couple of weeks ago and checked/did the things I mentioned before, I've done a couple of hundred miles so far but all seems well. I think I've read somewhere on here about people having problems with Exedy clutch kits, even though they are not a cheap option. My local Euro Car Parts told me that Exedy make the clutch parts for Honda, but not sure if that's true. He said that air was leaking? I can't think what that is, unless he means he had to bleed the air from your clutch system. Keep us posted on how you get on, good luck.

Sounds about right, perhaps they didn't tighten it down evenly or maybe it was just a faulty part. Either way seems to me like they'll have to do it again for free. An expensine clutch kit like that should obviously last a lot longer than a couple of weeks! I took a risk buying and fitting a cheap clutch kit (if you can call £275 cheap!!) and so far so good. Let us know what the outcome is, although I suspect they wont tell you the full story if they are at fault!
