Hey guys, recently I had to get my car smoged and it failed the check because the check engine light was burnt. Any body know how hard it is to replace the bulb under the dashboard? Is it a lot of work to pull it apart? Also where would I get the replacement light bulb?

 

www.qube-engineering.com has detailed instructions (lower right on website support/documentation). Art makes an LED set for the car and his instructions will get you to through removal and replacent. Not a bad job if you have basic mechanical skills. You can get bulbs at your dealer or any parts store.

I would be worried about how/why it burned out. Did you buy used? Did it ever work?

 

Yeh I bought the car used. Car didn't put out a code during the smog check. It lit up while starting the car before, but I didn't notice it burned out until the smog check.
