Is that what you had at Thunderhill? Man, your car was loud, even with my helmet on. My ears are still ringing from that one session I sat in the car

give you guys a sound clip in about 1 week, just got done picking my muffler out and had the quote done.

3inch piping from the cat back to a single straight through magnaflow, the thing is going to sound like a, well I don't know but for a total cost of 210 bucks and two hours of my time it's worth it. Gains will be really neglagable as stated above but the weight savings 3will be very nice, I am also going to have them bend up a quick dump pipe right out the side no muffler, track use only.

I replaced my mufflers with a single 5zigen Miracle Fireball.

Its very light sounds great and had to have gained a bit of power because the rear tyres seem to chirp a lot more on gear changes.

It cost me just over $200US installed which is next to nothing.

If you want twin pipes you could use 2 5zigen Miracle Fireball cans.

Stormy, I strongly recommend leaving the front half of the stock exhaust (resonator and little T pipe) intact. It doesn't really reduce flow, and does a TON to quiet things down. Look at how Amuse built their new dual Ti system and you'll see what I mean.

Straight pipe on the S2K, even after the cats, is just oppressive to a point of silliness. I ran my straight pipe at THill but probably won't ever again. Never thought I'd say this (having come from owning the single Amuse system) but it's just too loud. You whole body feels every single exhaust pulse, and it just wears you out. Not worth it.

There are a few ponies to be found with an upgraded exhaust, but that should be a priority tertiary to weight savings and improved sound.

I put 4.5" drag racing mufflers on, they're loud, but not too loud, and deep, everyone who has heard them says they sound good. i'm happy i put them on

Try ARC's dual or single exhaust system. I just had a dual system put on my spa S2k. It sounds awesome. There is a noticeable increase in HP. The best thing is the whole cat-back weights 13.8 pounds.

I doubt that there's a "noticeable" increase in horsepower. Got a dyno to look at? Every exhaust dynoed that I've seen shows only maybe 3 HP increase and only in certain areas of the curve. It's hard to add power to this powerplant without going to forced induction. The best you can hope for is a slight fattening of the torque curve in the mid-range and a significant weight loss...

The Stock S2000 mufflers are 2.25" reverse flow muffler. An aftermarket muffler can be 2.25" or even 2.5" straight throughs. Which one do you think is going to give higher exhaust velocity and overall flow?
Can you give me details about your exhaust? Did you leave the T-pipe and resonator in place? Did you upsize the pipe? What boxes did you use??? Can you scan in your dyno chart and send it?

I am interested because I am thinking about replacing my stock exhaust...

Thanks,

Troy
