Does anyone have a DIY or can at least tell me how to do it and what tools ill need. I pulled the axle nut and hub and the thread is really messed up, so im assuming ill have to replace the whole CV joint.

You best bet is to start with a manual. You'll need a ball joint tool to swing the knuckle out of the way, and tools to remove the drive shaft, work with the CV boot and a slide hammer of some sort to get the CV off the shaft.
