Default Reusing Filler Hose?

Quick question...

I just got done replacing the differential fluid and the transmission is now draining. My question is this: is it bad to simply reuse the filler hose that I have rigged up from the differential fluid for the transmission fluid? In other words, the filler hose still has differential fluid in it and I was just gonna thread the hose onto the MTF and then fill. I figured this wouldn't be a problem, but since this is my first time doing this I figured I'd ask.

-Thanks

Get some methyl hydrate and rinse out the hose. Next time, do the tranny first, then the diff. A little tranny fluid in the diff is not big deal, but a bit of sulfer in the tranny isn't a good idea. It won't kill your tranny considering the dilution factor involved, but do you really want to risk such an expensive piece?

Hmm... methyl hydrate? Where can I find this stuff...? I don't even now if any stores are still gonna be open. I had a feeling I should have done the tranny first.

In that event, I suggest you rinse the hose out with tranny fluid a couple times. Plug one end with your finger and fill it from the other end. Then let the hose drain (hang it up for a few minutes), then fling it around outside to get any big globs out and you're good to go.

I have used brake cleaner in the past. It seems to clean out funnels and dry quickly.
