Default Reverse lights not turning on

So my reverse lights aren't turning on anymore. The strange part is, the problem had been intermittant for a few weeks, before it became permanent.

What happened is one day, when I slipped the shifter into R, the reverse lights wouldn't light up. Slipping it back to N and back to R a couple times made it work again, and it would stay working a day or two before not working again.

Any ideas on what to check for and where? I did quite a bit of searching on the forum and couldn't find a solution.

ASsuming the reverse switch...should be a switch on the tranny you can replace, I'd assume (thats how it is on some cars..)

start off with the basics. fuse, bulbs, tailight wiring. if not those then go more into detail like reverse switch and stuff

I own my s2k since a month and noticed this lately.

I checked the bulbs and they are fine

I need to check the fuse #5 ( as my manual says)

How easy does this switch goes out? is it hard to replace?

Thank you for help guys.
