Rubber rings on valve cover
I am dropping my valve cover off tomorrow to get powder coated and I can't figure out how to get the rubber rings on the valve cover that go around the spark plug tube out? I have tried pulling them out the bottom of the valve cover using two paint can openers but they wont budge and I am afraid to pull any harder. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i ripped mine off tryin to get it off from the valve cover.. (i was replacing all of em with new ones..) It's gonna b hard to pull it off cleanly, its on there tight... I used a flat screw driver (through the spark plug hole) from the outside and tapp'd it lightly with a mallet.. good luck. i'm still waiting for mine to come this tuesday... grrrrr

They are not all plastic, so they can be kind of annoyiong to get out.
I got mine out by putting a shop towel under a screw driver from the underside of the valve cover (so I wouldn't ding anything) and prying just one edge all the way out. Don't ever expect to reuse them if you use this method, though.
