i have two big cracks right through the middle of my cluster in my 2000 s2000. and i only have 62,000 miles. so there is a guy selling his cluster with from his s2000 with 100,xxx miles for cheap. if i buy his cluster, will it ready my mileage when i install it? or his? thanks for the help.

 

Im curious too, I've always wondered if it's the ECU or the cluster that holds the mileage.

When I bought my S, I wanted to see if the mileage was rolled back.

The ECU also records milage but wont appear on the cluster.

 

The pre-06 PCM's do not record milage. It is stored in the cluster.

 

Are there any tamper lights when swapping the clusters??

 

 

The dealer can reset the speedo.
