Have you ever tracked? do you daily with these fluids? I hear Motul is premium and can go longer betwen intervals (not that you would) How is the transmission fluid? I run honda MTF but want to try something else. I also see you are using 140 in the diff. Whats your reasoning. I have redline 75w140 sitting in my garage but havent put it in yet. Currently mobile 75w90 in there and my rear diff mount went out. LIkely due to my 2-step launches..

My car is mostly track only. I did daily drive the car with those fluids for a couple years. Motul is some rather amazing stuff if you ever tear an engine down that has been run on it. The inside is so clean...

I usually run my Motul for about 6000 miles if I am daily driving it, otherwise, typically 8-10 track hours.

Castrol is fill and forget, literally.

I am still on my first change of the Motul Gear 300 though it is probably time to change it. It has probably 15 hours on it.

Diff fluid is fill and forget I think. I changed it in March 2012 and recently just changed it again. It looked brand new and I didn't see much of anything for wear so I think I am gonna run that a lot longer. I chose to run it simply for more shear resistance.

Engine: 0w30 Mobil1 Advanced Fuel Economy. Unlike other oils, this doesn't burn off, period.
Trans: Honda MTF. I tried GM SM FM, Amsoil, Torco, and plain motor oil. I can't tell the difference.
Diff: Torco SGO 75w140. The first diff oil I tried that doesn't look like glitter when I drain it.
Brake: ATE: Type 200 or Super Blue. I haven't boiled this fluid my Hawk DTC60 pads.
Clutch: Silicone with new master, slave, and hose. So far so good. I blew the seals on 3 masters before going silicone.

Car: 2005, 28,000 miles
Motor: Penzoil Platinum, Penzoil Ultra, or Valvoline SynPower 10W-30. Whatever is on sale. Really like all 3 oils.
Filter: Honda Genuine w/ crush gasket.
Trans: Honda MTF, but looking for something different. I have 2nd gear grind and Honda was good for about 2K miles.
Diff: Mobile 75W-110. This got rid of my diff whine with 75W-90. Will try any 75W-110 full synthetic.
Brake/Clutch: Any easy-to-find DOT 3. I replace the clutch reservoir every 1/2 tank to help keep it fresh. Wish I could find higher quality easily.

I drive about 3,000 miles per year, mostly on weekend trips. I drive my car to work on days between 50 and 75 degrees without precipitation. On occasion, I'll drive in 30-40 degree weather with no moisture and the brine has had time to be worn off the road. I bought the car with low miles, but the transmission damage had occurred. It improves when everything is warmed up, but I don't have the warm-fuzzies about the transmission that most others do. The transmission is the only reason I keep thinking about the Boss 302.

can you explain what made you decide on 75w140 for your diff fluid. (driving habits/safety/doubt?)

Well... now you have at least 12 extra opinions.

(No, you're not getting mine)

I have an AP1 with 76K miles when decelerating the transmission or clutch is noisy. Is there a trans fluid that will minimize this sound and protect the trans.
