S2000 going BANG

Hi

I have a S2000 engine and gearbox in my kit car, which unfortunatey went BANG on a trackday at Cadwell Park. It through a rod on number 3 cylinder and made 2 holes in eather side of the bloke.

So I'm looking for a new engine to replace it over the winter. I'm trying at the moment to get the engine out, but it seem's to be stuck. I've got a hoist on the engine and a trolley jack under the bellhousing of the gearbox, but it just does not wont to come apart.

I've managed to get a gap of about 1 1/2 ins, and I can see to flywheel. So I've been able to get a prybar in there, but it will just not come apart.

...which will come loose with a good yank. Press the two back together, remove clutch slave from trans, yank on fork to loose it from its spring loaded catch.
