S2000 Headlights question
I am in process of getting JDM lights. Can someone please tell me what I need to get in order to make this conversion work. I was trying to pick out information here and there on the forums and it was just too much for me to put together. Someone please point me to a thread or inform me from their experience as to what is needed here.
From what I gather you can't just buy the lights and switch them out and be on your happy way...it's much more involved. Please help.
Also, how long do these HIDs last? Is there an average life expectancy of the lights? Just curious.
Thanks.

Melo,
I'm not too sure about this, but my understanding about the gas tube in your headlamps is that it'll last the life of the car. There's no filiment in there. Perhaps the converter which steps up the voltage can wear out... don't know.

Here is what I have learned from this forum..
USDM Headlights Right hand drive, amber lens. So the line and knotch you see when you look your stock headlight against you garage door is lower on the left side then the right.
JDM Headlight Left hand drive, clear lens. The line and knotch you see when you look these headlight against you garage door is lower on the right side then the left. Some now come with a mirror finish where ours are flat black.
EURO Headlight Right hand drive and Left hand drive, clear lens. The line and knotch are the same as above (both depending of the country of org) and they have an autoleveling motor to make adjustments during driving. They can be mounted without the motors, but require some effort to install.
THe EURO lights are the prefered (LHD) to replace our USDM lights with. This is becasue they have the same light cutoff pattern.
Because JDM and EURO both use differant light bulbs, both of these headlight housing have a differant turnsignal mounting style then the USDM. You will need to buy JDM light socket Ricks JDM Ligh Socket
Hopefully I have learned this right, and it helps
