Just bought the PCX from my local dealer yesterday and found that Honda almost doubled the price since last change. I used to buy it for about 8.50 its now 14.50. I'm in Canada. Have U.S dealers done this as well? No big deal just curious.
Wow, I hope that's just for that one dealership!

Called another dealer in the area. The new price is effective there too. $14.53 CDN.

Canucians get stolen from. Can Tire sometimes carries M1. I think Hard top guys sells to Canada. BUT don't use ups unless you are a customs broker.

Looks like Manchester Honda has the S2000 filters (they differentiate) for $8.76 US each ... or 10 for $84.50 US.

Also, I saw reference above to Mobil 1 filters. I would not use these if they were free. Mobil 1 filters tend to be highly restrictive and I remember talking to Prelude guys years ago and one (I believe he was with NTPOG) blew two of these beauties right off the side of his motor while Solo II racing.

I also used to hang with Nissan Xterra owners and they also provided stories of spiking oil pressures with the Mobil 1 oil filter. So, INTJ, the noise you heard may be related to momentary oil starvation. Not good.

Yes it appears to be really well made and has a high filtration rating ... but that doesn't mean it works well. For high flow applications, I would NOT use a Mobil 1 oil filter ... period.

can anyone comment on the Filtech brand name and it possibly being owned by Bosch?

It looks like it started as a US based production plant of Toyo Roki that became / was forced to be independent.

There are many companies in Europe using the Filtech name.
Maybe one of them is owned by Bosch?

So I had my brother in law who works at a honda dealership pick me up a oil filter for mY 02 S2000, THE FILTER HE GOT ME WAS #15400-PLM-A02,Now I have read about how this filter is not reccomended for the s2000. I told my brother in law about this and he said that this filter is what they use? I called the parts department at the honda dealership for a part number, the guy gave me 15400-PLM-A02 and #15400-PCX-004. When I asked him why people say the the plm-a02 is not good to use in our cars, the guy told me he was not sure why that is ? Should I use it, or should I get the pcx- 004 oil filter ?

The answer is clear (especially if you read the substance of the posts)- do not use the standard Honda filter on the S2000 - only use the PCX filter.
