the ricer in me wishes my car would shoot flames...never has though, and i have a full header back set-up with a 70mm test pipe...maybe it a single exhaust thing

And you should be. I never noticed at all till a friend told me. Lol an it was night time also. Btw I'm running with a dual exhaust as well

A buddy behind me noticed I was shooting flames on every shift (1>2>3>4) while accelerating on an on-ramp.

The correct term is called "after burn". And it is as what people says, left over gas in the exhaust. When I had my rx7 I was always able to shoot flames and it would make a loud bang, it was awesome!

 

Flames = Race car, or you are in the filming of the next Fast and the Furious. It's cool.
