Default s2000 service by Honda

hello guys my car is coming up to 50,000 miles on the clock i think its time for major service. i will be able to do majority of the maintainace myself including oil change for engine, gearbox and perhaps diff. i can also do the brakes, sparkplugs and oil filter. however do you guys think i should get a honda engineer to check on my car and see what exactly need to be replaced and have a full service with them, as servicing at honda does cost quite a lot and some say its not worth it. i know the costs varies, but in general does anyone know how much it will cost to do a full check and a full major service?
Thank you

I'd strongly suggest asking for local recommendations for shops.

At 50k miles, you should only have to do what the manual says to do. Oil change for sure (every 3k-8k miles based on your oil and driving), diff fluid change (every 15k miles or so), transmission fluid change (every 30k miles or so) at a minimum. Not sure it says anything else. You can inspect your spark plugs and see if they are good (should be) and maybe get an alignment if your tire wear seems uneven. Othewrise, the only thing you might want to consider is a valve adjustment (manual says around 100k miles but many S2Ks seem to need them sooner rather than later).

Outside of that, you should be good to go with a thorough inspection of the car, especially with the information on this site.

just get the valve adjustment done at a reputable shop. you can do everything else yourself. the s2k is one of the easiest cars to work on .
